About Dr Isobel Robb
Isobel is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with experience spanning 22 years across a wide range of clinical settings. Isobel has the skills and expertise to identify, assess and treat a broad range of psychological difficulties. She has a special interest in older teens and adults, providing autism diagnostic assessments using assessment measures that are regarded as the "gold standard" (e.g., ADI-R, ADOS-2 and RAADS).
Isobel previously worked at the Behavioural Genetics Clinic, Institute of Psychiatry / South London & Maudsley NHS Trust, where she was responsible for implementing comprehensive neuropsychological assessment/reports on adult clients diagnosed with Autism.
Isobel always strives to provide a safe, sensitive and containing space for people to explore their distress and identify ways of alleviating difficult thoughts and feelings.
Isobel is trained in Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, CBT and mindfulness.
Isobel gained her doctorate from the Royal Holloway, University of London in 2005, where she completed her thesis looking at factors that influence suitability for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in people with autism.
Central to Isobel’s work is her collaborative, compassionate and problem-solving approach with every client. Through her assessment and therapy work, Isobel aims to help the individual understand and manage their emotional difficulties so that they can begin to take the steps needed towards living a life that is in line with their needs, values and goals.
